Memberships

Eulogia is a unique and exclusive alliance of translation companies that was established in 1994. It has remained active since that time and is today stronger than ever. It’s hand-picked member-companies, with only one company per language allowed to join, gather twice a year for open, extensive knowledge-sharing sessions and active networking.

Diskusija was invited to join this exclusive group in 2007, and participating in this association has definitely helped us to develop our professional skills and consolidate the growth of our company.

After serving as a board member and, for the past four years, as its membership officer, our CEO Asta Rusakevičienė was elected as Eulogia Chairperson in October 2021.

The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) is the largest and most influential language industry organisation. GALA delivers programmes, resources and events that aid its members in understanding the sector’s trends and growing their business. It offers an objective platform for information-sharing and collaboration and builds connections between industry stakeholders. 

Diskusija became a GALA member in 2006, and joining was a real eye-opener for us. GALA was the first international language industry association we joined, and the organisation has shown us the benefits of exchanging knowledge, the value of networking and building relationships as opposed to competition, and it has inspired us to actively engage with the community. Its annual conference, “The Language of Business, the Business of Language”, is one of the most attended events in our industry and definitely our favourite conference. We are the only company, or more specifically, our CEO, Asta Rusakevičienė, is the only person to have attended every GALA conference. We come back every year because we appreciate the value it offers in terms of our company’s development.

The European Language Industry Association (ELIA) is a European non-profit trade association for language industry companies. ELIA strives to support its members’ growth and development through various events and initiatives.

Diskusija joined ELIA in 2007, two years after its founding. Since then our company has regularly attended ELIA events – so-called Networking Days.

The Association of Lithuanian Translation Companies (ALTC) is Lithuania’s umbrella organisation for language industry companies. Its main aims include the development and promotion of common quality principles and standards as well as raising national awareness of the translation industry.

Diskusija is a founding member of ALTC, which was formed in February 2010. Our CEO Asta Rusakevičienė was the association’s first president, devoting her time and efforts to actively running the organisation during its first 7 years.

The European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC) is an umbrella body for national associations of translation companies. The EUATC strives to coordinate its members’ initiatives and assists national associations. It promotes the translation industry proactively across Europe and advocates for the highest business practices and quality standards. Diskusija is a member of this large European community through the Association of Lithuanian Translation Companies, of which we are a founding member.
